Polish-Canadian Business and Professional Association of Windsor 25th Anniversary Dinner

“Our Polish community is a vibrant part of the multicultural fabric of our city,” were the opening remarks presented by Jerry Barycki, President of the Polish-Canadian Business and Professional Association of Windsor at the 25th anniversary Polish-Canadian Society Business Dinner held at the Giovanni Caboto Club on November 18, 2022.

Throughout the ceremonies, distinguished speakers reminded guests that the anniversary dinner was a celebration of the strength, resolve and determination of the Polish spirit committed to making a better life for their families while holding fast to their cultural identity, faith and heritage.

Many sponsors and Polish business leaders from all walks of life and occupations were acknowledged with awards for their achievements and contributions made to the community.

“Canada derives strength from the diversity of its populations and its tradition of tolerance,” remarks Barycki. “For over two centuries, Polish immigrants have contributed to Canada’s history, customs, education, faith, and politics; to commerce, science, industry, art and culture by building relationships and investing in the growth and vitality of Windsor. The future of our deep-rooted Polish-Canadian presence in Windsor continues to flourish in the hands and hearts of another generation.”

Following the awards presentations, members of the Tatry Song and Dance Ensemble and Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble in their authentic costumes took centre stage and performed several routines reflective of their cultural repertoires.
