The WindsorEssex Community Foundation Random Act of Kindness Day is February 17, 2022
The WindsorEssex Community Foundation (WECF) invites you to join the annual Random Act of Kindness Day® (RAK Day®) celebration on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Driven by a dedicated staff, board, and committee of volunteers, this is the 10th annual RAK Day® for Windsor and Essex County!
The message for Random Act of Kindness Day® is simple “Make Kindness the Norm.”
February 17, 2022, is a chance for our community to remind each other why we love our great city and show each other kindness and compassion! The WECF encourages individuals, groups, schools, businesses, and organizations to help create a more empathetic and connected community by spreading kindness to others.
You can do something as simple as holding a door open for someone or as elaborate as preparing, delivering and serving meals to the under-privileged, with no expectation of receiving anything in return other than bringing a smile to someone’s face and the hope that the recipient of your kindness will then do something nice for someone else. If you are still not sure how to show your kindness on February 17, 2022, the WECF has Brand Kits for workplaces and schools with downloadable content on their website www.wecf.ca to get you started.

Random Act of Kindness Day® is a nation-wide celebration of kindness promoting a ‘pay it forward’ movement in the community. RAK Day® is meant to be a fun and simple way to encourage unexpected moments of kindness in our community.
For the past 10 years, the WECF has brought Rak Day® to the Windsor-Essex Community, bringing the community together by engaging residents across Windsor-Essex in small acts of kindness and generosity, in partnership with the Random Act of Kindness Day Foundation.
The WindsorEssex Community Foundation, originally founded in 1983 as Heritage Windsor, is a perpetual community trust for philanthropic purposes. It exists to manage donors’ legacy funds and make grants to support local community programs. Through grant making activities, the WECF is able to establish partnerships to assist a broad range of community organizations.
