Rum Runners, the Riv, Penrod’s, California’s — do these names ring a bell? Did you party like a rock star?
If so then you are absolutely going to love Windsor’s newest Rock bar. . . Rock Star located at 2418 Central Avenue, formerly Club Alouette.
The venue is a perfect throw back to those good ol days when Rock and Roll was live, played on stage and in front a crowd! The venue offers concert lighting and a large stage that even includes a runway that extends into the crowd so beware of any Vince Neil type frontmen swinging microphones! And in between sets you can Sink the Pink on the billiards tables.
Co-owners Nichole Demers and David Michael say “We love live performances and the outstanding music that Windsor is creating. We’d like to give the artists another venue to express their passions — a place where they have a voice to take their craft to the next level and continue to entertain Windsor.”
Tuesday April 19, 2016 was a special VIP Opening and the musical line up started with the British Invasion and took us all the way to through (back) to hair bands of the 80’s! And it was rockin good time, the only thing missing was Big Hair!
So Headbangers, bust out the studded leather, the bandannas and party like a Rock Star this weekend at the grand opening (April 22 for the public), plenty of parking is available. Find them on Facebook.
Don’t forget to check out the menu, including fried pickles but Biz X recommends the fresh ground sliders; White Castle be damned!
Congrats Nicole and David!
For those about to Rock! We salute you!
