The 6th Annual Salute Our Warriors Fundraiser

The 6th annual event was held at the estate of Danny Kassab in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

The band Slight Return featuring Windsor’s own Christian Vegh on guitar, along with guitarist Derek St. Holmes of the Ted Nugent band headlined the annual fundraiser July 13, 2023. The band belted out Nuge classics such as Cat Scratch Fever, Hey Baby and many more from a two storey patio overlooking the crowd of fans.

There was a variety of food from Mediterranean, fried chicken, pasta, hot dogs to pulled pork smoked on site with food courtesy Hartland Marketplace.

VIP’s were helicoptered in, in a grand entrance to the delight of hundreds of attendees.

Celebrity sightings included Michigan State Senator Mat Dunaskiss and Martha Reeves who were on hand to show their support.

You may have heard of Jack Huffman, the man who walked from Florida to Michigan. Huffman ended his 1,500 mile journey at sunset, at the Kassab estate to help kick off the event. Huffman’s walk raised $17,000 for U.S. Veterans.

The 6th annual event raises funds for the Salute Our Warriors Foundation with this year’s goal being $150,000.
