Transition To Betterness (T2B) 2023 Gala Raises $450,000
This year Transition to Betterness (T2B) came back bigger than ever to celebrate their silver anniversary!
It was a very special night on January 28, 2023 as T2B celebrated their 25th anniversary and shocked guests as they announced this would be their series finale of the gala. While T2B announced they are taking a pause from their annual gala they will continue to grow, operate, and fundraise in creative, out of the box ways for many years to come.
T2B Executive Director Amber Hunter states: “Windsor Essex is the most inspiring and giving community. We certainly feel the love and we’re sending it right back to all of you! The night raised over $450,000 bringing the total we have raised and put back into the community over the last 25 years an astounding $16 million! Over the last few years, we have flourished with so many new and innovative fundraising initiatives and have raised the bar on how philanthropy looks. We look forward to new ways to bring the community together and fundraise.”
Over 800 guests and 100 volunteers gathered at Caesars Windsor to see what T2B had in store for their 25th anniversary and to see the spectacular décor created by Designs by Diane.
The night was full of live entertainment including a tribute to their first-ever Gala featuring Big Louie and the Band. The ballroom entrance was lined with beautiful silent auction prizes generously donated by local businesses and over the course of dinner guests bid on several amazing Live Auction packages featuring one-of-a-kind experiences.
The main focus of the night was the beautiful dedication to their nine honourees.
Over the last 25 years, T2B has honoured over 250 local loved ones on the night of their gala and this year came full circle by honouring the lives of four of their Board of Director’s loved ones and T2B’s very first volunteer and donor, Susanne Lengyel.
The evening wouldn’t be possible without their generous donors and the Title Sponsors of the Gala — The Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation, LiUNA!625, WFCU Credit Union, Sandra & Lou Macera, and their host sponsor, Caesars Windsor. T2B Gala 25 was a night filled with excitement, special guest MD Motivator and featured their host and official spokesperson, Dave Hunter from 101.1 WRIF.
