Uncle Danny’s Advice For His Nani Bunny

Our blogger Danny wrote the following letter for his niece recently. She is graduating and ready to embark on her new journey in University. He sent her this letter before her graduation party that is coming up in Michigan in July. In it, he gives some advice to her in hopes that it will help and guide her along the way. We hope it will help others as well!

My Dearest Ananya, (Nani bunny).

Where do I begin? It seems like not too long ago, I was holding you in my arms. And now you have grown to be a lovely, empathetic, and compassionate person.

As you embark on this beautiful new journey of life, I just wanted to first tell you how proud and happy I am for you that you are doing absolutely AMAZING things in this world. And this is only the beginning of your GREATNESS!

I want to share with you some advice I can give you through my very own life experiences, in hopes that it will help you in the next stage of your precious life.

My Nani “bunny” will run or “hop” towards her passions.

Kiddo, each and every one of us is brought here to fulfill our destiny. And in order to do that, we must find what we are brought here to do.

You may already know, or you are still in the process of finding it. But remember, you will know when the thought of it makes your beautiful heart smile so brightly that you might as well be an elegant Christmas tree.

You will know when you are so excited to get out of bed to follow that passion that Usain Bolt can’t even catch up to you.

Anyone of us can give you our input on who you should be. But ultimately, it has to come from your inner soul.

Remember, it is not only your life, but your unique path. So, let God take you towards where you need to be, so you can become who you were meant to be.

Nani will never give up.

As I talk about your beautiful new path, I want to prepare you for the road blocks of negativity and the rocks of adversity.

Never be so discouraged that you stop in your tracks, turn around, and walk back.

My Nani is not a quitter. She is A Winner.

There is something so admirable about never giving up, that it makes a person extraordinary. You start to become this unstoppable force that can never be obliterated and you only get stronger through it.
I see that in YOU sweetheart. Life is going to be tough, but you are tougher, determined, and far more resilient than it. Good or bad, you just keep moving and keep that focus towards where you need to be. Put on your blinders and ignore the negativity on the left side and the toxicity on the right side. Your path is straight ahead and only ahead. There is a finish line called SUCCESS. And it will be there waiting for you with open arms.

Do not let anything or anyone stop or hold you back. Your only limitation is the beautiful soul you see in the mirror.

Consistency will help my bunny win the race over the tortoise.

Munchkin, I have learned that any accomplishment and success we want needs not only diligence, but consistency as well. It is not doing something once a week or twice a month. It is every single day. It is about asking yourself, what are you going to do today that is going to make your tomorrow more magical?

What am I going to do today that is getting me closer and closer to the direction where I need to be?
Do not let excuses overtake your legacy. You want it bad enough, go make history.

A Kind candle will never be extinguished.

Never change who you are. Kindness builds character. It shows the world who you are. As you start flourishing in your own path, continue to help and encourage others to flourish in theirs.
This world is not about me, me, and me. It is about US. We are all stronger when we help one another. And you have always maintained that kindness in that beautiful heart of yours.

Don’t worry about the future

Life is going to be full of surprises. There will good things and some not as you expected. But this is what we call life. You are on this roller coaster ride. When you are on that higher part of your journey, I want you to enjoy every moment you can. Embrace all the small successes, the laughter, and joys with loved ones.

And when you have days that may feel like the ride is over, it isn’t sweetie. Think of it as a small setback to rest and reassess things. And soon, you will be back on that higher end of life.
Whatever happens, you are going to cope, adapt and fight forward. That is how I know you the best, since you were just a baby.

Have fun

What is life without a little fun, right? You are not here to just exist. You are here to live a fulfilling life.
We are going to learn so many things as we get older. These are going to be lessons that life will try to teach us about being happy, worrying less, and persevering through struggles. And perseverance alone is what builds our character. It shows us who we are and the courage we have. So basically, life is trying to help you reach your fullest potential.

I could go on and write a plethora of more sincere advice, but I wanted to hit some key points that can help accelerate your personal growth.

In closing, just know how much I love and care about you. I am a phone call away. You are not only like a niece to me, but also a daughter.

From your loving Uncle Danny.
