Union Duke Comes To Kingsville Folk Music Festival

Union Duke is a Toronto folk quintet with an explosive live show. The songs are irresistible; the perfect fit for the heatwave of the dance hall or the cool breeze of the park. Their third full-length album, Golden Days, was released on August 5th – showcasing their signature soulful indie rock sound mixed with bluegrass and country, along with their soaring harmonies with three, four, and even five voices. They recorded Golden Days live off the floor to capture the raw, joyful energy of their concerts. Then they brought in Grammy award-winning mix engineer Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire, Basia Bulat, Timbre Timber) to bring the mixes to life. The album will take you back to your warmest memories, while also looking forward.

We are really excited to be at Kingsville Folk Fest this year. We’re looking forward to sharing the stage with some of our favourite acts: Buffy Sainte-Marie, The O’Pears, and Kaia Kater just to name a few. But don’t forget to come watch us too!” – Union Duke

The band works hard, travelling back and forth across the country playing to fans young and old from coast to coast. They’ve played sold out shows where crowds know all the words. They’ve performed at countless festivals including TURF, Mariposa, and Summerfolk, topping the list of must-see acts. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and they leave every audience smiling – maybe the golden days aren’t so distant after all.

See Union Duke at the Kingsville Folk Music Festival Saturday, August 13.
