The Willistead Restaurant and The Walkerville Night Market made Windsor history recently by hosting Windsor’s first rooftop performance on a restaurant.

On May 27 at the inaugural 2016 Walkerville Night Night Market, local favourites Huttch and DJ Double A took to the roof of the Willistead to serenade the thousands of Walkerville Night Market attendees.

“It was a great experience for Walkerville as a whole,” said Mark Boscariol, co-owner of the Willistead. “People are wanting to have more fun, and that’s what we continue to offer.”

In order to prepare for the event, Boscariol upgraded the roof of the Willistead to ensure the safety of the performers and audience below: a plywood floor was installed for the band and DJ to set their equipment upon and guardrails were installed along the north-west ledge.

The Walkerville Night Market and The Willistead consistently strive to provide new, exciting, and entertaining events for both Walkerville and city residents overall.

“We’re happy to have done something special yet again,” said Boscariol. “Huttch and DJ Double A get to go down in Windsor music history.”
