IBM NAIAS Introduce the Wayfinding App
This Wayfinding app, closely developed in conjunction with the auto show’s technology partner, IBM, utilizes beacons installed across the show floor to lead guests around the new floor layout.
For 2016 NAIAS, over 70 percent of the show floor has undergone a significant transformation. With a revamped layout and exciting new exhibit builds, this interactive wayfinding app will bring the show floor to life.
Utilizing beacon technology embedded throughout the show floor, this app will allow attendees to track their progress along the show floor, helping them better navigate and connect with exhibiting automakers and suppliers. Once attendees made their way around the entire show floor, they’ll receive a push notification instructing them to enter their email for a chance to win 2016 NAIAS apparel.
More information will be coming out in the coming days regarding the launch of the IBM NAIAS Wayfinding App.
The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) announced today that it has launched a suite of auto show apps that will bring the global buzz of NAIAS and relevant show information directly to the palm of attendees’ hands.
NAIAS is the first auto show in the world to launch an interactive show floor wayfinding app. This app, closely developed in conjunction with the auto show’s technology partner, IBM, utilizes beacons installed across the show floor to ping showgoers’ phones as they navigate around the 2016 NAIAS.
“NAIAS has some of the best partners in the world and together we’re able to deliver industry-first interactive technologies to our attendees,” said Paul Sabatini, 2016 NAIAS Chairman. “By launching a diverse suite of NAIAS apps, individuals will not only be able to access important show information and see the breaking news coming out of the show from their handheld devices, but will now be truly connected to the show floor in a way never experienced before at an auto show.”
