THE HOLIDAYS ARE NEAR… WINDSOR-ESSEX CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILIES STILL NEED SUPPORT
As the countdown to the holidays begins, the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation (WECAF) is seeing first-hand the many limitations that families and youth, particularly youth that live independently face.
Most of these individuals deal with financial and social challenges that make celebrating this time of year almost non-existent. This is where the WECAF Holiday Program attempts to fill in the gaps to assure that a meal, warm clothing, household items and individual gifts are all part of enriching the lives of the children, youth, and families that the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society supports.

Through the generosity of our community, all 619 families that submitted wish lists have been assisted. However, they continue to have an abundance of additional families and youth accessing WECAS services which will continue now, through the yuletide season and into the year ahead.
The need is enormous.
New coats and accessories, personal hygiene items, gift cards for food, items for the home such as sheets, and towels are required.
A monetary donation is certainly welcome. A suggested donation that will cover needs for an average family of four is $400, however any amount is welcome.
Whether it is Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Hanukkah, Ramadan or another time of giving, your donations helps families and youth purchase gifts, holiday meal supplies, clothing, personal hygiene products, household
essential and other meaningful items.
Please visit www.wecaf.on.ca to donate today. The Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation thanks you for raising up those that need our support at this complex time of year!
