Windsor/Essex County Humane Society October Fundraising And Adoption Events
The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society (WECHS) is inviting the community to join in three exciting events this October, all in support of animals in need across our region.
Charity Pasta Night at the Caboto Club On Wednesday, October 1, WECHS kicks off the month with Charity Pasta Night at the Caboto Club from 4 to 7 pm. Supporters can dine in or take out Caboto’s classic pasta dinner while knowing that every plate helps support the Humane Society and 11 other amazing local charities.
Doggie Dollars 50/50 Lottery Also launching October 1 is the Humane Society’s Doggie Dollars 50/50 Lottery, running all month long until October 31. Tickets can be purchased online at and at select WECHS events. With three early bird prizes to be won this fall and one lucky winner taking home half the jackpot, this lottery is sure to scratch the Doggie Dollar itch. Every ticket sold directly supports the thousands of animals who come through the Humane Society’s doors each year.
Adoption Event at Devonshire Mall On Saturday, October 4, the Humane Society will bring some adoptable animals to Devonshire Mall for a special adoption event. Shoppers will have the opportunity to meet cats, dogs, and other small animals looking for loving homes. WECHS staff and volunteers will be on-site to answer questions and help families find their perfect match.
“These events are a chance for our community to come together, have fun, and make a real difference for local animals,” says Lynnette Bain, Executive Director. “After a busy summer of intakes, surgeries, and adoptions, we’re asking our community to step up and support us through these fundraising and outreach events. Whether you’re joining us for pasta, trying your luck in the 50/50, or opening your heart to a new furry family member, you’re helping to change lives.”
