WINDSOR PROMOTER TO MANAGE CANADA’S LARGEST SPORTS CARD & COLLECTIBLES SHOW

The Sport Card & Memorabilia Expo has announced that Windsorite Jeremy Renaud has been promoted to the role of General Manager. Renaud, who hails from Windsor, Ontario has been on staff since 2016. He has progressively grown through the ranks from an assistant to coordinator, then Assistant General Manager, and finally, General Manager.

“The timing was right for Jeremy to assume the role of General Manager,” says Expo President and Owner, Steve Menzie. “He has helped us grow the show in many exciting ways over the years and has recently developed a new partnership that will have an immediate impact this Spring, which will continue to grow in the years ahead. We are very excited!”

For Menzie, who was the past president of Fan Expo HQ and original owner of Windsor ComiCon identified Renaud in 2015. He would go on to watch Renaud translate his experience in sport management through nearly a dozen conventions internationally over the past five years while climbing through the ranks. “Jeremy’s work ethic and passion brought immediate success to the shows that he has worked on. We are pleased to have him on our team,” says Menzie.

For Renaud, who has been representing Windsor on the international pop culture convention scene with success says that the Expo will “experience a significant growth in 2020 that will diversify the Show’s offerings, market reach and demographic through an exciting partnership, which will be announced later this Spring.”

Renaud is a Professor of Sport and Recreation Management (Zekelman School of Business & Information Technology) at St. Clair College who also works as a Development Officer at Easter Seals while serving on the Selection Circle for the MLSE Foundation and as a volunteer Legacy and Communications Director with The Miracle League of Riverside Baseball at Farrow Riverside Miracle Park. He is an active Rotarian with The Rotary Club of Windsor-St. Clair.
