WINTER FEST 2016 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
It’s almost that most wonderful time of the year when the Downtown Windsor BIA hosts Winter Fest, and transforms the city centre into a magical winter wonderland. This year’s celebrations take place from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday, November 19 on Ouellette Avenue.
The exciting Holiday Parade will feature over 50 units beginning at the intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Giles Boulevard and traveling north to Pitt Street.
We are seeking volunteers aged 15+ to help make Winter Fest 2016 a resounding success. Volunteer duties will range from a variety of tasks including distributing flyers and posters; event set-up & tear-down; balloon costumes; pulling parade units; distributing candy along parade route; and general festival help. High school students are encouraged to participate and earn hours toward their community service involvement component.
Winter Fest volunteers play an integral role in the festival organization and help us in our endeavours to create memorable visitor experiences. If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering for this event, please fill out the volunteer application form below.
Application form (below) can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, faxed to 519-252-6817 or dropped off at the DWBIA Offices located at 419 Pelissier Street.
Deadline for submissions is Friday October 21 at 4:30 pm.
