Windsor has immense potential, but we can only reach our potential if we invest in things that truly have an impact. Since the Accelerator opened its doors in 2011 we have helped create over 500 jobs and generated an economic impact of $14 million. Just imagine what we can do with a bit more support.

The goal for our campaign is $30,000, which will help us bridge the gap until we finalize the move the new building on 1501 Howard Ave. The campaign funds will be used to offset the cost of the move and to help with furniture and minor space improvements.

The space will be designed with the end-user in mind creating an environment that encourages collaboration and exchange of ideas. Initially, there will be open office spaces, a coffee shop, meeting places and staged events, and it’s all open to the public. In the future we are looking to create an arts incubator, food incubator space, and maker space garage.

This is a building that will rival spaces in Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Boasting a large open-concept floor with 16-foot-high concrete ceiling and exposed steel beam supports, the new Accelerator at 1501 Howard Ave. Windsor Essex will have a true entrepreneurial/innovation hub that can service the needs of our region.

Arthur is the Managing Director at the Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator. He advises start-ups and small businesses on the multiple facets of starting and growing a business, enabling clients to realize their full potential as entrepreneurs. Arthur is also in the process of completing his doctorate studies in business, with a focus on entrepreneurship. He is passionate about using his practical and academic insights to help develop innovative ecosystems that allow entrepreneurs to prosper. His philosophy is rooted in collaboration generated through network theory.
