The 2021 BIZ X AWARDS VOTING NOW CLOSED!

Thank you for participating to help find the best businesses, organizations, events and biz pros in Windsor, Essex County and Pelee Island.

THE JUDGING PROCESS FOR THE 24th ANNUAL BIZ X AWARDS HAS NOW BEGUN!

If you are a 2021 Biz X Awards nominee please make sure you have filled out the mandatory basic information and answered our questions that we requested through an automated email sent to you in order to access our online form.

As we move to the next stage in our awards process, the panel of Biz X Award Judges are now reviewing the nomination information submitted; the results of the voting poll and the company background information submitted on an online form.

The judging panel consists of local business professionals and industry experts. Judges compile their own background research and may do on-site visits or even ask acquaintances about your business/organization before casting their vote in a secret ballot for the eventual winner of each category. Judges do not know the actual winners until the release of the November/December edition.

Nominees and the general public learn the final outcome only when the digital and print November/December edition are distributed in mid November.

The November/December issue will contain the complete list of nominees and finally reveal the 24 winners from each of the categories.

Deborah Jones

Deborah Jones – Publisher of Biz X Magazine Deborah Jones graduated from the University of Windsor with an Honours Degree in Communication Studies and was employed at two other local magazines shortly after for a few years learning all she could about writing, advertising, public relations and more. She made the jump in 1998 to go out on her own to publish Biz X magazine and has worked in the publishing industry since 1990. In 2007, she earned the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce. To date, she is the ONLY woman so far to receive this award. In 2013, she received one of the first “Windsor Women of the Year” awards from the Ladies Exclusive Alliance. Her most recent achievement is the 2023 Media Award from the Windsor Essex Chapter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Deborah is proud to live in Windsor and truly cares about each and every business and strives to make Windsor Essex the best place to live, work and play.
