2022 Business Excellence Awards Winners Announced
The Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce honoured the area’s top local companies, individuals, and organizations on Thursday May 19th at the 2022 Business Excellence Awards, presented by Windsor Star.
The Business Excellence Awards (BEAs) were presented at the Chrysler Theatre, in-person for the first time since 2019. The BEAs were postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions and the 2021 Awards were done in a virtual format. An elegant dinner in the Skyline Ballroom of the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts followed the Awards presentation.
A total of 10 Award winners were announced in a ‘secret reveal’ format. Two Awards were previously announced – Federica Nazzani of Capital Assist (Valuation) as the ATHENA Leadership Award recipient while Penalty Box Restaurant owner Van Niforos received the Believe Windsor-Essex Award.
All Award winners gave acceptance speeches to the audience in the Chrysler Theatre, as well as live to viewers on YourTV.
ATHENA Leadership Award recipient Federica Nazzani has now been recognized twice at the BEAs, also winning the Professional of the Year Award in 2015.
Wolfhead Distillery added the Tourism and Hospitality Award to their trophy cabinet, to go with 2018’s BEA for New Company of the Year.
For Jenna Tolmie of SPARK Pediatric Services, winner of this year’s New Company of the Year Award, the BEAs run in her family. Her father, David Batten, won the 1995 Company of the Year Award for Manz Contracting Services.
The Business Excellence Awards will be rebroadcast several times in the coming weeks to Cogeco subscribers on YourTV, including May 24th at 4:00pm, May 26th at 7:00pm and May 30th at 8:00pm.
The Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce is a member-based organization formed in 1876.
