Biz X Was There – 2023 Windsor Essex Chamber Business Excellence Awards

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce honoured the area’s top local companies, individuals, and organizations on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at the Sold Out 2023 Business Excellence Awards, presented by Windsor Star.

The Business Excellence Awards (BEAs) were presented at the Chrysler Theatre with many high-profile members of the community present. The award show was followed by an elegant dinner in the Skyline Ballroom of the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts.

A total of 9 Award winners were announced in a ‘secret reveal’ format.

Three Awards were previously announced – Renee Daudlin-Iacobelli of Insight Advantage as the ATHENA Leadership Award recipient, Lisa and Brian Schwab as the Believe Windsor-Essex Award recipients, and Keith White of FREEDS as the inaugural Business Ambassador Award recipient.

All Award winners gave acceptance speeches to the audience in the Chrysler Theatre, as well as live to viewers on YourTV.

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce has been the leading voice for business in Windsor and Essex County for almost 150 years. A professional photographer for over 30 years, Rod Denis has shot everything from fashion models and commercial products to food and automobiles. Denis is a graduate of the photography program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario and has worked in major centres such as Toronto, Halifax and Detroit. Since 1991 he has operated Rodney L. Denis Photography shooting commercial projects for corporate brochures, catalogues, calendars and the web. Rod has been taking photos for Biz X magazine since day one. Deborah and the Biz X team are not only a group of people who work together, they are the spirit of Windsor's community, business essence and bringing social awareness. As a new member of this beautiful city, it was through Biz X magazine that I learned who is who and where is where. I attended their 25th Anniversary Gala in 2022 and what a fantastic evening. Everything, from the sparkling decor, glam photos, entertainment, guest speakers and our own Windsor fire department fundraising for Sparky's Toy Drive, was a true celebration. Biz X Magazine is a staple in our community. It's such a quick way to stay informed about what's going on around town. We love that you can find it in most waiting rooms too!
