Over $500,000 Announced to Build a New Respite Home
The Solcz Family Foundation is pleased to help launch the I’m In Campaign so that local young people and their families have access to a beautiful and new respite home. Family Respite Services has been providing tremendous support to the Windsor-Essex community for many years and we are proud to partner with them to help make this new home a reality says Kyrsten Solcz, Executive Director.
The public launch of the I’m IN Capital Campaign will help Family Respite Services connect with the community regarding details of the new respite home. Families are in dire need of a new respite home, so that parents have access to the Weekend with Friends Program. FRS needs you so that we can raise $1.5 Million Dollars to build this specialized respite home for children/youth with disabilities. Are you IN so that children can be INcluded. Are you IN so that families can access INvaluable respite programs. Can you get INvolved to help build the new home. Can you INvest by responding to this urgent need in our community.
“WWF is an integral part of our family; Cameron looks forward to going and crosses off the days on the calendar until the next visit. I don’t know how we would get by without WWF for Cameron’s growth & development as well as some relief for us as parents. Chloe wakes up frequently during the night. Many times, we find ourselves awake from 2am to 5am trying to get Chloe back to sleep. As parents of two children with special needs our days are not the same as a typical family. Some days we are awake from 2am and are up for the day, other days we struggle just to get through the day! The respite home is vital for our family” – Valerie and Dave Hodgins
