ONTARIO CPA HONOURS 3 YQG ACCOUNTANTS AS FELLOWS
Jules Hawkins, Garnet Fenn and Mike St. Amant have joined the prestigious group of 1,423 Fellows of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (FCPAs) in Ontario. Becoming an FCPA is the highest honour bestowed upon a CPA within the accounting profession.
Garnet is a retired CFO of Chrysler Canada. Jules is a co-founder of Hawkins & Co. Accounting, an award-winning Windsor CPA firm that is recognized across Canada for using technology to improve its clients’ lives and improve their businesses. Mike is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA). Mike oversees financial and process improvement matters for one of North America’s largest infrastructure projects: the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
The FCPA is awarded by the accounting profession to members who have demonstrated achievement, leadership and ethical values in their career. It also requires them to have made significant contributions through volunteer service to their community, and to the accounting profession.
Fewer than 2% of CPAs receive this recognition. Recent Windsor honorees include Helga Reidel, CEO of Enwin Group of Companies, and Federica Nazzani, President of Capital Assist Valuation Inc.
“With their wide and impressive range of skills and experiences, this year’s Fellows represent the very best of the profession,” said Carol Wilding, FCPA, FCA, President & CEO of CPA Ontario. “They are distinguished leaders, visionary innovators and dedicated mentors who have made a significant impact on the communities they live and work in.”
Jules, Garnet, and Mike were honoured at a presentation ceremony and dinner in Toronto on December 3 along with 52 other recipients.
