Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation Seeks Board Members

THE WINDSOR-ESSEX CHILDREN’S AID FOUNDATION is dedicated to providing financial support that contributes to the safety and well-being of the children and families of the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society through fundraising initiatives and public education.

An exciting opportunity exists, as the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation (WECAF) seeks new Board Members to join its team!

If you have a vision, as well as a talent to connect with potential resources in our community, this role may be worth considering.

The goal is to generate financial support to fund WECAF’s strategic initiatives that advance current and new programs and have a positive impact on the children, youth and families supported by the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society (WECAS). Their continued success depends on the personal commitment, and active participation in fund development of a select group of individuals with the will and capacity to move the Foundation forward.

This is the time when you can make a difference, as WECAF is in the second year of a three-year, $1.5 million fundraising campaign, “Children, Youth & Families… Strength for Today, Opportunities for Tomorrow”.

Members of the WECAF Board make a personal commitment to . . .

• Provide objective guidance and feedback on the development strategy for WECAF
• Promote & actively contribute to the success of the current fundraising campaign.
• Champion WECAF’s cause through individual knowledge, as well as personal and professional networks.
• Identify prospective donors and introduce them to WECAS/WECAF.
• Participate actively in fundraising initiatives, events, campaigns, and be available as needed to participate in the donor cultivation process.
• Attend monthly Board meetings and other meetings as required.
