The Windsor Residence For Young Men Announces 2025 Season of Giving Progress

The Windsor Residence for Young Men (WRYM; 1505 Langlois Avenue, Windsor) has announced an exciting update on its annual Season of Giving campaign.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, $10,280 of WRYM’s $30,000 matching fund has already been unlocked, bringing vital support to young men experiencing homelessness and family crisis.

This year’s matching fund – made possible through the generosity of Capital Power, Don and Maureen Gordon, and the Basilian Fathers of Sandwich – allows every donation made between now and December 31, 2025 to be matched dollar-for-dollar until the full $30,000 is met.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the early momentum,” says Jason Weinberg, Executive Director of WRYM. “Every matched dollar helps us provide twice the stability, twice the care, and twice the opportunity for youth who are working hard to rebuild their lives. We’re off to a strong start, but there is still important work ahead as we aim to unlock the remaining $19,720.”

Funds raised through the Season of Giving support WRYM’s life-changing programs, including safe transitional housing, trauma-informed care, life skills development, and aftercare services. These supports help young men move from crisis toward independence, allowing them to build stable, healthy, and hopeful futures.

With $19,720 in matching funds still available, WRYM encourages the community to take advantage of this rare opportunity to double the impact of their holiday giving.

“Whether someone gives $10 or $1,000, every matched contribution helps us meet the growing needs of young men in our community,” adds Weinberg. “Together, we can unlock the full match and transform even more lives this holiday season.”

WRYM invites the community to give hope, double their impact, and help drive the campaign to the finish line.
