BORDER CITY DANCE COMPANY PRESENTS ISOLATION

Internationally known local choreographer/director, Melissa Williams of Border City Dance Co., leads her dancers in a virtual live event called ISOLATION this Friday, August 14th, at Rockstar Music Hall.

Melissa Williams, has spent the last two months virtually rehearsing an original concept production with her dance company Border City Dance Co. ISOLATION features Individual company members performing self-choreographed dance solos, embodying the emotions they’ve felt while the world grapples with a pandemic. The Year 2020 has been challenging on everyone, especially our youth whose dreams have been side tracked by uncertainty. Inspiring is an understatement for what company members, ranging in ages from 11-20, have achieved and created. Company members have also chosen songs by local musicians to help promote awareness and appreciation for our local talent.

Support these local artists by helping to spread the word about their upcoming show. Please encourage people to buy tickets (only $10) to support and interact with the show as a virtual audience member via zoom. All they need is a little reciprocity and encouragement. Please help us spread the word so we may have as many audience members in our zoom audience in order to give much needed feedback and energy to these dedicated and determined artists. In these times more than ever, we need to come together and help support each other’s dreams.

You may remember Melissa’s work as Director/ Choreographer for FINA Opening Ceremonies , Producer/Director for the International Children’s Games Opening Ceremonies and on CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance Canada where she served as guest judge and featured choreographer. She and her team are excited to bring this show to you.
