Caesars Windsor Delivers Kindness During Random Acts Of Kindness Week

Caesars Windsor, alongside the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, celebrated Random Acts Of Kindness Week by providing hundreds of thoughtful cards to patients and staff at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.

Each envelope contained a warm message from a Caesars Windsor staff member, and a gift card for either gas or groceries. Additionally, Caesars Windsor also provided tickets to an upcoming show in The Colosseum to all 45 Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Volunteers.

In all, Caesars Windsor Cares donated $15,000 worth of gifts to brighten the day of patients, staff, and volunteers at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.

“We are so excited to spread some joy to the patients, volunteers, and healthcare workers at the Windsor Cancer Centre,” says Kelly Gregoire, VP Human Resources, Caesars Windsor. “While we took a moment to honour Cancer Centre employees during the pandemic, these workers continue their tireless work with patience and compassion all year long, and we are pleased to be a part of this celebration.”

There are over 250 staff and volunteers inside the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. They support hundreds of patients who walk through the front door each day for treatment and care. Caesars Windsor welcomed the opportunity to spread kindness throughout the Cancer Centre on Valentine’s Day.

“It’s heartwarming to see community partners like Caesars Windsor supporting patients, staff, and volunteers at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre during a week that is centred around kindness,” comments Houida Kassem, Executive Director of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation. “We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Caesars Windsor Cares to show random acts of kindness within our cancer community.”

Random Acts Of Kindness Week takes place around the world February 12 to 17, 2024. Random Acts Of Kindness encourages others to take a moment and spread joy within their community.

The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, along with Caesars Windsor, is grateful to have the opportunity to spread kindness to local cancer patients, staff, and volunteers at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. Together, we encourage our entire community to spread joy wherever possible.

The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation is driven by a promise to serve our cancer community, and serves as the official fundraising arm for the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, fulfilling requests of the Windsor Regional Cancer Program. Requests include the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment, patient amenities, and initiatives, such as the Patient Assistance Fund, and our Seeds4Hope program.
