Well, our 180th issue is finally here and that means for 18 years Biz X magazine has been in existence. Time sure does fly by when you are having fun!
Producing this magazine and promoting all the wonderful businesses in Windsor Essex is something I love to do. However, it is a lot of hard work with plenty of late nights, especially these past two months, that my family, my entire team and of course, myself included have put in to get this issue out and plan our gala.
It’s all worthwhile though when we hear their acceptance speeches on stage at the Biz X Awards Gala. The gratitude they express to us and the excitement they have is our real reward. Yet, there are 24 Biz X Award winners but 182 worthy nominees who also deserve recognition.
I’d like to share a few of the kind comments from nominees (category in brackets) on the letters sent to the Judges -“Thank you for considering us for this most prestigious award, truly a distinct honour.” The Tosti family, Classic Impressions (#14) -“We are extremely humbled by this nomination and would be honoured to be the recipient.” — Claudio & Anna Mancini, Romano’s Speciality Meats & Italian Deli (#15) -“Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Biz X Awards process this year.
I greatly appreciate your time and effort that goes into this business community endeavour.” — Tracey Rogers, White Feather Holistic Arts (#14 & #15) -“Having being nominated for this illustrious Biz X Award in such a short time (they opened June 2015) is an honour that holds great value in this community.
Win or lose, this nomination is a gift that shares our passion to provide our customers with something special. It is a sign that we are doing something great!” — Vittorio & Frana Davia, Vittorio’s Slice of Italy (#20 nominee)
