Grow On Windsor Campaign Surpasses Goal!
The month of November 2019 was a record-breaking month for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation thanks to donations received from those living in our community. Men and women stepped up to the plate and did not disappoint with donations totaling of over $340,000 for our Grow On Windsor Campaign.
This local campaign supports cancer awareness, research and treatment for men living in Windsor/Essex.
Organizers say they wish to thank the continued support of the community, to date, the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation has raised over $1 million since its inception five years ago towards Grow On.
They have been able to purchase items such as bladder scanners, IV poles, vital signs monitors, and brachytherapy equipment, thanks to the community. With the funds raised this year, they will purchase an Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) which is used for procedures that are minimally invasive but highly effective at diagnosing lung cancer.
“I’d like to thank each and every one who participated in Grow On Windsor! Without you and your dedication and commitment to the cause, we would not have been able to raise such a record-breaking amount!” – Executive Director, WCCF, Houida Kassem
