HOSPICE 2020 FACE TO FACE CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTS THE ENORMOUS GENEROSITY OF OUR WINDSOR-ESSEX COMMUNITY

The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County officially concluded the 18th annual Face to Face campaign September 30th, and they have just finished totaling up! This year the total raised was an astonishing $95,726!

Over the last eighteen years of the campaign over 1.2 million dollars has been raised, with funds staying right here in our community, and directly supporting friends and loved ones.

This year has been a year of many obstacles for our community, and this campaign will directly support patients and families during the most difficult times.

“In late June, the Hospice Team spoke to me regarding a “go or no go” decision for this campaign. I decided, with hope in my heart, that our community would be there in whatever capacity they could offer. Truly an example of how Windsor Essex Stands Strong!” – John Fairley, Campaign Founder

“Even during COVID, John, and this amazing community continues to go that extra mile for us,” said Executive Director Colleen Reaume. “Every year our team of dedicated canvassers and sponsors come together to support the people of Windsor and Essex County. We are so grateful for the kindness shown to our Hospice, especially during such difficult times. Thank you Windsor-Essex, you are shining examples of generosity.”

The Hospice Face to Face Campaign runs annually from August 15th to September 30th, and in 18 years has raised over 1.2 million dollars for our Hospice.

Founded to address compassionate end-of-life care, The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. has been an integral part of the Windsor-Essex region since 1979. The Hospice provides care at no cost in our two Hospice Residential Homes (Windsor and Erie Shores/Leamington), through the Community Palliative Medicine Program and through our Wellness Programs and Services. With only partial government funding, it has been through the generous support of our community that Hospice has become the first palliative hospice village in North America. Over time, The Hospice has adapted to meet the needs of the community, and continues to address the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families, now and into the future.
