KINGSVILLE OFFERS RABIES VACCINATION CLINIC

The Town of Kingsville has partnered with the Windsor-Essex Humane Society to host a Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. The clinic runs from 1pm-7pm at the Kingsville Arena, 1741 Jasperson Lane.

“All dogs are now required to have up-to-date rabies vaccinations for their 2017 dog tag,” explained Deputy Clerk, Jennifer Alexander. “We decided to hold the clinic in response to resident input.”

The cost is $20.00 cash for the vaccine, and $40.00 cash, credit or debit for the 2017 dog tags.

“Ensuring all dogs in our community are vaccinated protects the health and welfare of everyone in Kingsville, including our pets.” Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos stated. “With the opening of Linden Beach Dog Park in November, we anticipate dogs being in even closer proximity than before, and safety is always our top priority.”

The Rabies Vaccination Clinic is open to dogs only, and owners are asked to provide valid photo identification to prove they are Kingsville residents. The clinic will run from 1pm-7pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Kingsville Arena, 1741 Jasperson Lane.

Linden Beach Dog Park is Kingsville’s first off-leash dog park located at the intersection of Malo and Conservation Boulevard. The area is bicycle, stroller and wagon-free to allow dogs the freedom to run unrestrained. Park users are subject to the Dog Owner’s Liability Act, and a list of regulations designed to ensure everyone’s safety is posted at the entrance. The park is open daily, dawn until dusk.
