Kitty Kash 50/50 May 2026 Lottery Launches To Support Animals During Critical Kitten Season
The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society has announced the second annual launch of the Kitty Kash 50/50 Lottery, a fundraising initiative designed to support the organization during kitten season — its busiest and most demanding time of year.
As thousands of vulnerable kittens and animals arrive in need of care, the Kitty Kash 50/50 Lottery offers the community a chance to make a meaningful impact while trying their luck at taking home a growing cash jackpot.
Proceeds from ticket sales will directly support essential services, including medical care, food, shelter, and enrichment for animals in need. Funds will also help provide critical supplies for the Humane Society’s network of dedicated foster caregivers, who open their homes to kittens in need—ensuring they are healthy, socialized, and surrounded with care and love until they are ready for adoption.
“The Kitty Kash 50/50 Lottery is a fun and impactful way for our community to come together and support animals when they need us most,” says Lynnette Bain, Executive Director of the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society. “Kitten season places an incredible strain on our resources, and every ticket purchased helps ensure we can provide lifesaving care to the hundreds of animals who rely on us each year, including those in foster homes who need extra support to grow and thrive.”
The lottery features three early bird prizes ranging from $250 to $1,000, giving participants even more chances to win before the final jackpot draw at noon on June 1, 2026.
The more tickets sold, the bigger the jackpot—meaning greater support for local animals and a larger prize for the lucky winner. Tickets are available now online.
The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society is a registered charity dedicated to the care and protection of animals in the Windsor-Essex region.
