New Year, New You, NEW CHAMPION!

It seems excited getting ready for the New Years. Everyone is asked, ”So, what’s your New Year’s Resolution?”

They come up with a list of things they want to do and accomplish. They come up with a list of things they want to stop. They get excited and ready to go. But unfortunately by the first week or so in the New Year’s they stop.

Statistics show that 95 percent of people who make a New Year’s resolution do not follow through. They break it early in the New Year. To the 5 percent who continue, great job and keep going.

My New Year’s resolution is to continue improving my life, continue working hard, keep evolving and keep going as far as I can go to achieve my greatness. However one of my new year’s resolutions is to become a vegetarian again. Yes again. I started it every year and I was back to eating lean meats. As a bodybuilder I thought fish and chicken are the only ways to put on muscle mass. But I know that even a vegetarian diet can be beneficial and effective for my muscles.

I now decided to challenge myself and be committed to sticking with it.

I am a firm believer that you can change your life anytime, any day and any month. But the one thing I love about the New Year is that it starts at the beginning. Fresh and clean. Almost like at the start of a race. With one intention…… to WIN, achieve and succeed, by doing our very best. And it s not just about following your dreams, quitting a bad habit or exercise frequently etc. It can be winning your battle with depression or any types of fears you are currently facing.

So what is your Resolution? What is the most important to you that you want to do, that is going to benefit your life. So now I am going to lay out my challenge to you. Are you ready? I challenge you to make no excuses and stick with it. Be in that 5 percent range that keeps on going faster than the Energizer bunny. I challenge you to stay committed and stay persistent and consistent.

I will go Vegetarian and in addition, I will continue evolving and working hard to be my BEST self. And as I said, I am committed to sticking with it. I can do it and you can do whatever your resolution is. So let’s do it together and see how far we are going to go.

Imagine this. Let’s say you are 1 month into your resolution. Be proud of yourself for making it this far. That will be awesome. Now imagine if you just keep going and going and going, then it will be 2 months…Pat yourself on the back. Now you really feel like you don’t want to turn back.2 months is great. Now imagine going further. You will be unstoppable and the best thing is you are seeing results that are improving your life. That’s the beauty of it.

Rocky Balboa said he wanted to go the distance. He wanted to stand out and be different. And he made it to the last round of the fight with Apollo Creed. Nobody made it that far. But Rocky believed he could. That is the message my hero Sylvester Stallone was trying to tell the world about his character Rocky Balboa. We must keep punching and go the distance.

My champs, you must not stop. If you have depression then keep making progress. If you want to lose weight then keep consistent with your health eating and exercise. Whatever it is, just stick with it. You can do it. Have family or friends for additional support and motivation. Stay in the game. Pump yourself up for extra motivation.

Listen to powerful inspiring music, develop self confidence, practice affirmations…and most of all develop a powerful mindset that has a no quit attitude. No one is going to do it for you but you. And you and I both know, YOU CAN.

This is your year. Your destiny is being written by you. So take that first baby step and with every baby step there becomes giant steps. With every giant step there becomes a greater stride. With greater strides you soar and finally, you ascend to a higher level that you cannot be reached. You are on your way to a new life a new you, new success new happiness.

Set your goals and make sure they are realistic and attainable. Create a strategy, set short term goals and long term goals and finally TAKE ACTION.

It is very important to know that, New Year’s resolution without ACTION is just a New Year’s resolution.

Remember as I said, start with baby steps. Don’t rush it and overwhelm yourself. This is not a race against anyone. This is your race. You are the only one running your race, while others are running theirs. In addition to consistency and persistence, results will come with patience. It will not happen overnight but in a gradual process. Do not be hard on yourself. You may experience some setbacks but that is ABSOLUTELY OKAY, so long as you start back again and get back in the race.

Do not get discouraged. It can be very easy to feel this way if you are not seeing results, but the results are there. Everything is adding up. No progress goes unwasted.

Do not put any limitations on yourself. You limit how far you can go not anyone else. So destroy those limitations and raise your expectations and standards. Never aspire to be average. If you do average and the bare minimum, your results will be average and the bare minimum. You are better and more than average. So give it all your effort and give it all you got.

So ARE YOU READY? This is it. The moment of truth. This is what separates you from the others. I can feel your energy. You are ready. You are focused. You are confident. I can feel your determination and your eagerness to succeed.

On your mark ……get set …….GO in to a new life, into being a new you and becoming a ……NEW CHAMPION.
