Nisa Homes March 13, 2021 Virtual International Women’s Day Event
Nisa Homes is a second-stage, transitional women’s shelter in Windsor, Ontario, which most often supports women and children who are escaping domestic violence and abuse.
Their primary goals are to empower women to gain the means, ability, and confidence to start afresh. They seek to advocate for access to education, employment, housing and childcare, while also extending our support beyond the home with remote casework.
The COVID-19 pandemic puts many women in Canada at risk of feeling isolated, depressed, and anxious. Thus, Nisa Homes is holding its first Virtual International Women’s Day event, on March 13, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m.
The strength and resilience of our clients, as well as the caring support of the Windsor community inspires us to dedicate a day of celebration to Windsor’s women!
Among the event highlights are Keynote Speaker Nour Hachem, the President and Founder of Build a Dream. Through Build a Dream – the non-profit that she founded in 2014 — Nour utilizes her 13 years of experience as a workforce advisor, mentor, and influencer to speak to us more about this year’s IWD theme: “Choose to Challenge.”
Tickets are $20 and all proceeds will go towards supporting the women and children in Nisa Homes locations across Canada. As an attendee, you will receive a complimentary ‘High Tea’ themed box of treats to enjoy while you compete for prizes in trivia games, random drawings, and more!
For more information, and to purchase your ticket, visit online. Ticket Sales close on March 10, 2021 @ 6 p.m. EST to prepare the High Tea box deliveries
