First of Three Reverse Santa Claus Parades

This Saturday November 21 2020 marks the first of three Drive Thru Reverse Santa Claus Parades, to be staged by the Windsor Parade Corporation.

This Saturday’s Parade gets underway at 6pm and spectators will be permitted to access the route until 9pm. The Reverse Parade Concept involves the “Entries” staying in place while traffic passes by. Although far from a normal parade concept this method allows for Social Distancing and is approved by the Windsor Essex County Health Unit.

Kingsville’s parade takes place on Main Street from Spruce to Division and then south on Division to Herrington. Spectators are asked to “cue” at Kingsville District High School located at 170 Main Street. From there they will be allowed to access the route which begins at Spruce as traffic allows.

The Windsor Parade Corporation volunteers have been working on renovations to floats since early this summer so that they are at their best for the parades. In addition Giant Inflatables, Horse Units, Entertainers, Local nonprofits, and Pipe and Drum units will be located along the route.

Spectators are reminded that this is a drive thru only event to ensure the health and safety of everyone.

As an added bonus all vehicles will be provided with a list of entries, a scavenger hunt for children to participate in while they drive by and an opportunity to Tune into Windsor Parade Corporation “ Santa Radio” to listen to Christmas Music and Santa himself as they drive through the parade route.

The Windsor Parade Corporation wishes to thank their presenting sponsor The Town of Kingsville and associate sponsor Ernie’s TV and appliance. In this year of so many disruptions it is an honor for the Windsor Parade Corporation to have the opportunity to present this parade and the upcoming parades in Amherstburg and Windsor.
