Ronald McDonald House Bowl-A-Thon Looking for More Participants
On Sunday, June 12th, 2016 Ronald McDonald House Charities SWO (RMHC-SWO) will be raising support for local families at their Annual Windsor Bowl-A-Thon. Just 5 weeks after opening Ronald McDonald House Windsor inside Windsor Regional Hospital, families and friends are invited to raise pledges and join the activities at 1 pm at Rose Bowl Lanes.
This will be the 13th Annual Bowl-A-Thon. While it has always received great community support, RMHC-SWO hopes to fill every lane this year in celebration of RMH Windsor helping even more local families. As Jenne Wason, Director of Development at RMHC-SWO highlights, “Families from the Windsor/Essex area accounted for 26% of the families staying at RMH London in 2014-15, and now we are able to help even more local families with RMH Windsor.” She notes the event’s success in previous years is motivation to make this 13th Annual the best one yet, “Last year families and friends bowled together, bid on local silent auction items and ended up raising over $14,000! We hope even more local supporters will be able to spend the day with us raising awareness for RMH.”
The Bowl-A-Thon is a great opportunity to work as a team raising pledges that become hope for local families. As Dave Sheik, Bowl-A-Thon Committee President elaborates, “The success of this event relies 100% on people in the community asking friends and family to help them raise support.” Dave reiterates that everyone is welcome to participate, “It’s easy for anyone to register and start their very own online pledge page that they can share on social media to start raising pledges – remember every bit counts!”
Ronald McDonald House Charities SWO does not receive any government funding, which means fundraising events are essential. RMHC-SWO invites supporters to help their friends and neighbours by raising pledges and joining the fun on Sunday June 12th at Rose Bowl Lanes at 1 pm. Anyone can register and make their own online pledge page to share with friends and family, or print a pledge form online.
