Rosati, Mercato, & MR Meats Donate $30,000 to Local Food Bank

Three Local Companies Donate over 35,000 Non-Perishable Food Goods to the Windsor Lifeline Outreach to Make Over 1,000 Family Food Boxes for Local Families

In an effort to bring awareness of our local food bank’s struggles brought upon by the surge in demand of local families in need due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Rosati Group has donated $15,000 and brought in its own labour force to run the food bank and Mercato Fresh and Mr. Meat have donated $7,500 each to purchase over $30,000 of much needed additional food items for the local community.

Unfortunately, the 100% volunteer based food bank at the Windsor Lifeline Outreach (WLO) has been forced to temporarily close due to COVID-19 concerns of the ageing volunteer base.

Following a successful awareness campaign on Instagram and Facebook reaching over 35,000 combined interactions, Rosati has reopened the food bank to pre-make over 1,000 set boxes of food that can delivered or picked up at the WLO.

The Rosati Group says it is proud to be a longstanding supporter of the WLO. They serve over 500 families every month and have been a major help for the other food banks in Windsor.

The Windsor Lifeline Outreach is a group of people of faith working in partnership with local organizations to transition people out of difficult times by meeting immediate needs & providing future assistance with programs designed to resolve life issues.

The family food boxes of non-perishable goods are ready to be picked up at the drive-through set up at the WLO, 4490 7th Concession Rd, Windsor. The food bank will be open Thursday May 28, from 9am-noon.

Other community partners have helped the campaign as well, and Rosati would like to thank The Storage Box for donating multiple storage boxes, Lucier Glove and Safety for donating fence and safety cone rentals, and Hiram Walker and Sons Limited for donating hand sanitizer for each box to this great local cause.
