Rotary Club’s Community Service Grants March 28, 2025 Deadline Looms
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918), 2025 Community Service Grants program provides over $40,000 in funding opportunities for local non-profit organizations dedicated to making a meaningful impact in Windsor-Essex.
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) developed the Community Service Grants program in 2013-2014. Since that time they have provided over 100 grants to local charitable organizations totaling over $300,000.
The grants were designed to assist organizations in completing small projects or purchasing equipment or program supplies that address a need in our community. They are able to distribute these grants due to successful fundraising by our members with their biggest initiative being Art in the Park — the major fundraiser for the Club’s Foundation. A unique feature of our grants program is that grants must have a Rotary Champion. Their Rotarians are not only active in our Club they are involved in the community through many organizations and community initiatives. The grants provide the opportunity for Rotarians to champion groups or causes they are passionate about.
This year’s grants focus on programs and initiatives supporting children and youth, reinforcing the club’s commitment to investing in the next generation. Eligible organizations can apply for funding up to $5,000 or $10,000 if the project is a collaborative effort between two organizations.
Janice Forsyth, the Chair of the Grants Committee, states: “Grants will be awarded to initiatives that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting children and youth, while strengthening social safety nets”.
Grant applications were open since February 24 and must be submitted by March 28. Selected recipients will be notified by April 30.
