The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign Goes Touchless and Wireless

blankGiven the Windsor-Essex County has been placed in the red zone due to the covid pandemic, it means for the balance of the campaign, there won’t be any volunteer bell ringers standing next to the kettle stands ringing their bells and wishing you a Merry Christmas.

This does not mean the campaign has ended, rather effective immediately, all Christmas kettle locations throughout the greater Windsor region have been equipped with a Tip Tap Touchless Terminal. This is a new and innovative touchless digital giving option provides residents the opportunity to safely donate to the annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.

Greater Windsor region – 15 Tip Tap Touchless Terminals placed on Christmas kettle stands. Allows residents to donate using Interac, credit card or smartphone to simply TAP and donate to the kettle campaign.

When you see the Christmas kettle stand in a store, please know the touchless giving option is ready (and active) to receive your donation electronically even though there are no volunteers next to the kettle stand.

Pre-set amount of $5. Increase donation by tapping up until you reach you desired amount up to 10 times.

The Tip Tap Terminals do not store information. They simply transmit information.

Three ways to give…

  1. Tip Tap Touchless terminal (at various store locations);
  2. Fillthekettle.com (Donations made from this region stay in this region);
  3. Donate Online

As in previous years, we want to thank, in advance, the generous residents of this region for continuing to support our kettle campaign. All donations made locally in Windsor directly supports the programs and services of The Salvation Army in the greater Windsor region. Supporting us, helps us, support others.

With a local fundraising goal of $350,000 this year, the Christmas Kettle Campaign enables the Salvation Army to continue to provide those in our community with life-changing programs and services, housing supports, life skills training, community and family services, and the Pathway of Hope’s high impact case management.
