Local residents are encouraged to think Staycation

The “Windsor Essex Staycation Expo”, in partnership with Devonshire Mall, on April 29-30, 2016 encourages local residents to explore their own backyard. Mall patrons get to learn from experts and discover things to do and places to see throughout Windsor Essex. From craft beer to birding and biking, our exhibits throughout the Mall give plenty of reasons to keep it local.

“Collaboration is an essential building block to growing tourism in our region. Through this event, Devonshire Mall has generously opened its doors to welcome us and our partners in the local tourism industry,” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island. “This weekend, we have the incredible opportunity to showcase our region to thousands of local residents.”

“Devonshire Mall is pleased to be able to partner with Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island to help promote all of the wonderful tourism opportunities that our region has to offer,” said Chris Savard, General Manager of Devonshire Mall. “We know our customers and tenants look forward to this event each year, and as the busiest building in Windsor Essex, we view our partnership with TWEPI as a true win-win.”

At the event, Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island also launched the Official 2016/2017 Visitor Guide. “The new Visitor Guide is a visual piece filled with an endless array of possibilities. Our cover pays tribute to this with a simple and playful gesture. We think you will be making your own heart-shaped hands as you discover plenty of reasons why you’ll love this place”, says Orr.

Check them out at in front of Hudson’s Bay and stop by the tourism displays located throughout the Mall during regular mall hours: Friday, 9:30 am – 9 pm and Saturday, 9:30 am – 6 pm.
