University of Windsor EPICentre Launches EPIC Founders Accelerating 2020s Program to Help Early Stage Startups

The University of Windsor EPICentre has announced the launch of the EPIC Founders Accelerating 2020s Program. This edition of the long-running EPIC Founders Program is specifically designed for startups and early stage businesses that are ready to take their innovative ideas to market. Ventures will have the opportunity to utilize an immersive approach to the Lean Startup methodology to bring their new product to reality. The program is funded by FedDev Ontario under the Community Economic Development and Diversification stream.

“We understand that this new economy needs innovative thinking to solve problems arising in our community, especially during the pandemic. That’s why we’ve decided to launch this program to help startups bring solutions that will help accelerate our economy in the next decade” – Wen Teoh, EPICentre Director

The four-month program is designed to help ventures at ideation stage or startups operating for 2 years or less to take their innovative ideas for a physical or digital product and craft it into a business that is prepared to drive change in the new economy. They will learn key skills, competencies and know-how on various topics. Participants can also expect to gain access to virtual workshops, 3D printers and other prototyping equipment. They will also have the opportunity to connect with EPICentre’s network of entrepreneurs, community members and so much more.

This program is valued at over $7,500 and is 100% free of cost to all participants. Today’s economy requires businesses to be agile and find new and creative ways to compete. This program is designed to give all participants the competitive edge they need in order to succeed.
