LET THE GAMES BEGIN! TENTH ANNUAL WINDSOR CORPORATE CHALLENGE

The Windsor Corporate Challenge is ready to celebrate its tenth annual event at the Vollmer Complex on Saturday, September 10th, 2022. The Windsor Corporate Challenge provides the business world with exciting activities/challenges that breakthrough workplace barriers and engage employees with a spirit of togetherness while raising funds for a great cause.

“It feels surreal to be coming up on tenth Windsor Corporate Challenge. What started off as an idea has turned into more than I could have imagined and has impacted our local community in so many ways.” comments Meighen Nehme, founder of The Windsor Corporate Challenge and President, and CEO of The Job Shoppe.  “Our committee members have been hard at work to ensure that this year’s games are challenging and memorable. There’s even a top-secret half-time show sponsored by St. Clair College which will be talked about long after the event.”

Since its inception, The Windsor Corporate Challenge has raised over $1 million for local charities, while local businesses compete in a fun and collaborative event. This year the charity of choice is something near and dear to the Windsor Corporate Challenge committee. Several committee member’s family members along with one of the Event Chairs for Windsor Corporate Challenge, Ashley, have been diagnosed and battled with cancer. Ashley’s journey begin in 2021 when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 37. It is because of these special people that inspired the Windsor Corporate Challenge to partnered with the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation to honour them and support enhancing the patient experience in Windsor-Essex County as well as funding local cancer research.

“We are honoured to be chosen as the charity of choice for this year’s Windsor Corporate Challenge. As businesses gather on September 10th, for a fun day of team building, they will also be impacting those in our community diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to the Windsor Corporate Challenge and our community for supporting our patients in such a profound way.” Houida Kassem, Executive Director, Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.

Teams register and commit to raise as much money as possible for the selected charity and celebrate their hard work in a one-day FUN-raiser. The day’s agenda sees teams of 5-7 participants competing in timed events, all with the goal of getting the best overall score and top bragging rights. Events are designed to be challenging and fun, combining cognitive and physical skills, along with fostering team building through working together to complete challenges. During the closing ceremony, organizers reveal how much money was raised. Several awards and prizes are handed out to the team with the best overall time, team spirit award, and top fundraiser for both individuals and teams as well as our most valuable volunteer.

“We are fortunate to have a wide variety of local business participate and sponsor our event each year, including St Clair College, St Clair Alumni, TD Bank Group, Baker Tilly, MCO Partners, Studio V, Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation, Green Shield Canada, California Closets, Lester, Vista, Windsor Spitfires, Lisa and Brain Schwab, Windsor Star, Second Chance CPR, F45 LaSalle, Champion Products, Ground Effects, WindsoriteDOTca, Dakkota Systems, and Kersey Kickboxing, many of which have participated since Windsor Corporate Challenge’s inception” comments Meighen Nehme, founder of The Windsor Corporate Challenge and President, and CEO of The Job Shoppe.

As a volunteer-driven charity event, Windsor Corporate Challenge relies on the generosity of local organizations and corporate sponsorships to help sponsor the event and provide a memorable experience for participants. A special thank you goes out to everyone who has supported Windsor Corporate Challenge over the past 10 years.

We cannot wait to see everyone in-person again this Saturday on the game field!
