Windsor Dance eXperience Annual December 2025 Holiday Production
Windsor Dance eXperience (WDX) is set to once again delight audiences with its holiday production, Flamekeeper: A Christmas Tale, at the historic Capitol Theatre from December 12 to 14, 2025.
Based on the children’s book “The Light of Christmas” by Richard Paul Evans, Flamekeeper tells the tale of a village named Noel whose residents gather in celebration and hope for the appointment of their next Keeper of the Flame. As various townspeople vie for the position by presenting gifts filled with sparkle, wonder and pizazz, in the end they all learn that the spirit with which you give a gift is far more important than the gift itself. WDX will be warming hearts with this beautiful story just in time for the holidays.
WDX is known for its innovative choreography, elaborate costumes, creative set design and meticulous props, all of which will be on full display in this charming production!
Set to a score of holiday tunes with a modern twist, Flamekeeper features a variety of dance styles as imagined by 6 talented, local choreographers and performed by a cast of over 85 young dancers. By creatively incorporating elements of jazz, ballet, contemporary, swing and hip hop, this production has something for everyone!
Familiar holiday characters such as woodland animals, mischievous snowflakes, festive townspeople and lively drummers will dance across the stage accompanied by a few unexpected ones as well. Audiences may want to prepare for dancers to enter the stage from the most surprising of places by keeping their eyes on floating gingerbread houses, rolling jewelry boxes and gigantic velvet sacks filled with something special!
“As we try to do every year”, says Tiffany Chan, WDX’s Artistic Director, “Flamekeeper continues the tradition of using theatre and dance to create a world on stage where kindness lights the way and the meaning of giving truly comes alive.”
Don’t miss out on this festive dance theatre experience!
Tickets are available now for Windsor Dance eXperience performances on December 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. and December 14 at 2:30 p.m. The costs are $25 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under.
