Town of Amherstburg Working to Address COVID-19 Related Complaints

The Windsor Police Service – Amherstburg Detachment and the Town of Amherstburg will be working together to address any COVID-19 related community complaints with a goal to ensure Community safety.

COVID-19 related community complaints may include:

  • Reports of non-essential businesses open in contravention of orders
  • Reports of persons not physically distancing (i.e. Trails, Dog Walkers)
  • Reports of public gatherings greater than 5 people (i.e. parks)

If you are calling to report a complaint during business hours, Monday-Friday (Statutory Holidays exempted) from 8:30 am-4:30 pm, please call the Amherstburg Town Hall Bylaw Enforcement office at 519-736-0012. Any public complaints after hours should be directed to the Windsor Police Service non-emergency telephone number at 519-258- 6111.

Any complaints involving violations of Self-Isolating Provincial Orders or reports of Federal Quarantine Act Violations can be called in to the Windsor Police nonemergency telephone number 519-258-6111. Complaints of this nature would have to include the known entity (violator identified).
