Adriano and Arlo’s Stand Against Childhood Poverty In Windsor-Essex County Holding First Annual Bake Sale!
All proceeds raised will go towards purchasing gifts for the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society Fill the Bus Holiday Campaign.
It is my pleasure to share with you that Adriano and Arlo (Adriano and Arlo’s Stand against childhood poverty) are holding their first annual Bake Sale where all proceeds raised will go towards purchasing gifts for the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society Fill the Bus Holiday Campaign.
This past summer before Adriano started junior kindergarten, mum and dad started to slowly inform him and make him aware that there are many kids in his community who are not as fortunate as him and his brother. At first like any four year old Adriano did not understand, but eventually after a few weeks he started to make sense of it and wanted to make a difference.
When his school shared that they were taking part in the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society Fill the Bus Holiday Campaign, Adriano was excited to take part in this initiative. His brother and him used the money from their piggy banks to purchase a few toys to donate, but he is determined to fill that bus!
After some brainstorming and informing him how fundraisers worked he decided on having a bake sale to raise more money so he can buy more toys for kids in his community. Adriano and Arlos stand against childhood poverty in Windsor-Essex County hopes to continue its mission and goal of helping eliminate childhood poverty in Windsor-Essex County.
My name is Adriano and I am 4 years old. My little brother’s name is Arlo and he will be 2 in February!
Adriano and Arlo
My favourite holiday is Christmas and I can not wait for Santa to come! I am already counting down the days until Christmas morning. Over the last couple of months my mum and dad have been talking to me about the holidays and trying to make me understand that not every kid gets a Christmas like I do. That not every kids gets to spend it with their mum and dad, grandparents, cousins, aunts or uncles nor do they get many presents as my brother and I do. It took me a while to understand this that not every kid will wake up on Christmas morning and have presents waiting for them or they might not be getting together with their families and having a nice warm meal. Once I understood it though I wanted to do something, I want to help make a difference in my community and make sure that every kid gets to have a good Christmas.
At school we are doing a fundraiser with the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society to Fill The Bus with toys and clothes for kids in my community. I told my mum that I would get the money from my piggy bank and buy some gifts for the kids that don’t have a lot, but there is only a limited amount of money in my piggy bank and I want to help as many kids as I can! I also want to fill that bus with ALL the toys and clothes.
After some brainstorming with my mum we decided to hold a bake sale. All proceeds raised from the bake sale will go towards purchasing gifts for kids in need for the holidays to support the Fill The Bus Campaign at my school in partnership with the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society!
If you would like to help and purchase a box of baked goods please call my mum to place an order 519-992-1327 or send an email to [email protected] by November 27, 2021. Adriano who is four years old with his two year old brother Arlo want every kid in their community to have a good christmas this year! So far they have used the money from their piggy banks to purchase a couple of toys to donate, but are determined to fill that bus with gifts!
