Beach Grove Golf & Country Club Raises $150,000 to support 14 Local Charities as part of their 100 Year Anniversary
Beach Grove Golf & Country Club, one of Ontario’s only waterfront Country Clubs and Southwestern Ontario’s premier private Golf and Country Club turned 100 years old in 2021!
The Club has been celebrating their 100 Year Anniversary hosting events, festivities and various initiatives with members and guests. One of the greatest accomplishments of the Centennial Celebrations is the Creating a Legacy Campaign, raising funds to support charities in the local community.
Earlier this year, the Club reached their original goal raising $100,000, to provide $25,000 to each of their four pillar charities: The Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor, W.E. Care for Kids, Hub of Opportunity (formerly the Unemployment Help Centre) and the Windsor Cancer Center Foundation. “The campaign has been a terrific success! Thanks to the generosity of our community and Beach Grove membership who were immensely supportive of this community initiative during our 100th Anniversary Year!” said Beach Grove’s President, Frank Dayus Jr.
“It’s remarkable when you experience the philanthropic character of our Club. The goal was to raise $100,000 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary, but we surpassed that goal and reached $150,000 allowing us to support an additional 10 charities in need within the community. What a great legacy to leave as part of Beach Grove’s Centennial Year and incredible way to bring the year-long celebrations to an end.”

After reaching the $100,000 goal, Beach Grove continued to fundraise an additional $50,000 to support 10 smaller local charities providing $5,000 to each. A total of $150,000 will be donated leaving a legacy in the community as part of the Club’s Centennial Celebrations. The 10 additional charities, listed below, will be receiving donations to assist them with their holiday programs, expenses, and operational costs.

- Maryvale Adolescent Mental Health
- Second Chance Ministry
- Sleep In Heavenly Peace Windsor
- Street Help Homeless Centre Windsor

- Windsor Residence for Young Men
The Club has invited the charities to the Clubhouse on Monday, December 13th between 3pm and 5pm to receive their cheques. The timing of the donation will be beneficial for many as the needs increase during the holidays.
Beach Grove Golf and Country Club has a deep-rooted history within the community, since the day of its inception in 1921, dating back to the days of prohibition. The Club continues to move forward, preparing for the next 100 years and positioning itself for a vibrant future!
