The Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association (BANA) has named Biz X magazine their 2016 Outstanding Business.

BANA is a not-for-profit, registered charity, community-based organization servicing the Windsor-Essex Region in Ontario, Canada. Furthermore, since 1983, they’ve been committed to the provision of specialized treatment, education and support services for individuals affected directly and indirectly by eating disorders.

As the primary regional source for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders, BANA is a leader in the promotion and acceptance of diverse body shapes and sizes through the adoption of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

This year BANA will present 4 perpetual Community Awards and 1 Leadership Award:

Given in recognition of an individual(s) or organization in the following categories “who have demonstrated a commitment to the enhancement of healthy lifestyles in our community.”

Outstanding Non-Profit Organization – Rotary Club of Windsor (1918)

Outstanding Volunteer – Patrick Moriarty

Outstanding Business – Biz X Magazine

Outstanding Individual – Janet Kelly

Leadership Award:

The Moriarty Leadership Award is named after BANA Founders Dr. Richard (Dick) and Mary Moriarty and is presented “in recognition of outstanding leadership and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association.”

On Tuesday, June 21, 2016 the public is invited to join BANA as they host their 31st Annual General Meeting from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Windsor Family Credit Union Main Branch located at 2800 Tecumseh Rd. E. in Windsor, Ontario.
