Dufour Dental Hygiene Officially Opens Up May 29, 2025
The Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Olde Riverside BIA, invited the media and community members to the grand opening and official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Dufour Dental
Hygiene — Windsor’s first independent dental hygiene clinic on May 29, 2025 situated at 5421 Wyandotte Street East in Windsor.
This event marks the expansion of Krista Dufour’s mission to deliver accessible, prevention-focused oral healthcare to the community — just days before the new Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) launches nationwide on June 1, 2025.
The CDCP is expected to dramatically increase access to oral healthcare for Canadians who lack private insurance.

“One of my main missions is to create better more equitable access to vital oral healthcare,” says Dufour, Registered Dental Hygienist and clinic owner. “This government plan is now allowing many Canadians who struggled with access to care. It’s an exciting time for our people and the dental profession.”
During the open house, attendees had the opportunity to tour the newly designed clinic space and chat with the team behind this innovative, patient-centred practice.
The grand opening event was beautifully planned by Kori Innocente of Pretty Little Party Co., featuring premium coffee from Little Coast Bartending & Café and delicious treats from Brits Cookie Co. With stunning décor and top-tier vendors, it was a memorable launch for the new space.
In addition to the new location, there are even more ways Dufour is making oral care as accessible as ever! She also provides mobile dental hygiene services to seniors called Go Smile, stretching from Windsor Essex to Tilbury.
She loads her mobile unit with all necessary supplies and travels to senior living facilities, where a dedicated room is provided for her to treat patients. Dufour schedules appointments, offering routine check- ups and personalized dental care on site. Her service ensures seniors receive consistent, accessible oral healthcare without the need for travel, improving comfort, convenience, and overall quality of life for her patients.
