DWBIA Seeks Nominations for its Board of Directors, 2022-2026

Election season isn’t quite over yet – not for the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA).

DWBIA members are encouraged to exercise their right to be part of the strategic direction of the downtown core, taking part in the application and nomination for the Downtown Windsor Improvement Association’s new Board of Directors, 2022-2026.

Members of the DWBIA are not only asked to vote for its Board of Directors, but are also requested to take part in the application and nomination process.

DWBIA members are permitted to nominate any individual who they believe would take an active and positive role in the growth and vibrancy of downtown Windsor through service with the organization and its membership. The DWBIA’s mandate is to facilitate activity and conversation between stakeholders – the member businesses, the City of Windsor, the arts and culture community, and government agencies, as well as the residents and visitors to the core.

“These applications and nominations are so important, because they set the course for the elections, and of course, for the future of the downtown,” says DWBIA Chair Brian Yeomans. “Whether you choose to nominate a peer or yourself, it’s taking an active part in the continual growth and expansion of the core, and a way to ensure your voice is heard.”

To apply or nominate a qualified individual with the needed expertise to join the DWBIA’s Board of Directors, members are asked to complete and submit the form no later than November 15, 2022 at 4pm EST.

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is committed to its leadership in advocacy, infrastructure, development and promotion of the downtown core. Its vision is to be recognized as a model downtown for modern North American cities, and its mission is to develop, market and support downtown Windsor as the place people want to be and where businesses are excited to invest.
