Glengarry Glen Ross Review

Glengarry Glen Ross is a book by David Mamet about small-time, cutthroat real estate salesmen in Chicago trying to eke out a living by pushing plots of land on reluctant buyers in a never-ending scramble for their fair share of the American dream. It evolved into a Broadway comedy play and winner of the Pulitzer Prize/Tony Awards in 1984. In 1992 it hit the silver screen starring Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris and Alan Arkin. It was also featured as a radio play on the BBC.

The Shadowbox Theatre, located in the historic dairy building at the corner of Howard and Shepherd in Windsor, is an intimate performance space and home of Post Productions. For its second offering of 2023, they are presenting Glengarry Glen Ross. Friday April 14th was opening night, with 7 more shows to follow.

It stars a seasoned cast of local area actors: Joey Ouellette, Fred Krysko, Gregory Girty, Mark Lefebvre, Michael Potter (also director & associate producer), Chris Lanspeary, and Alex Alejandria. The near sellout crowd in attendance for opening night were intensely engaged in the collective performance and laughed heartily throughout. This is a play not to be missed!
