Hot Summer Nights Fun Blast

Some summer nights are so hot, even the wind can’t be bothered to move. What better time to head to the park with family and neighbours for a cooling fire truck sprinkler run, a visit with Sparky and a chance to meet Windsor Fire and Rescue Services and Fire Prevention staff for truck tours and fire safety information.

Windsor Fire & Rescue Services (WFRS) will be hosting a summer-long tradition at a different park in all ten wards, each Thursday from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Event details will be posted to the WFRS website.  We have many new community partners on board this year who saw it as an exciting opportunity.

Residents have the chance to go over some lifesaving tips and reminders while getting acquainted with WFRS staff. Kids can check out the fire trucks, participate in hand-on activities, and ask any fire safety questions. The firefighters will be grilling hotdogs and providing water which are free to those who attend on a first come, first serve basis.
