Inspiration 100 Announces Fund Has Reached $1 Million
On Wednesday afternoon, Inspiration 100 members, their guests, and the WindsorEssex Community Foundation (WECF) gathered at Mazaar Lebanese Cuisine (Ouellette Location) for the 4th annual reception. The evening ended with Marty Solcz, who was the catalyst in founding the Inspiration 100 initiative, announcing that the Inspiration 100 Endowment Fund has reached $1 million dollars!
To date, the organization has welcomed 91 local community philanthropists into the Association and within the past two years alone, has granted a total of $50,000 to ten local charities within Windsor-Essex. With the fund reaching a million within five years, the Association will continue to award grants to more local charities, ensuring long-term impact and support of Windsor-Essex.
“On behalf of the Foundation we are deeply grateful for Marty’s leadership in initiating this unique charitable fund under the umbrella of the WECF. I am also personally honoured to have been a part of this initiative since the beginning and to have been able to witness Inspiration 100 grow immensely over the last five years. As someone who believes strongly in giving back to our community it is amazing to be a part of a passionate group of dedicated community leaders whose aim is to make a significant difference in our community by distributing wealth responsibly and sustainably to worthwhile organizations in our city and county. It is very exciting to have reached $1 million dollars and I look forward to the many initiatives that will occur as a result of this milestone”. – Jelle Donga, current chair of the Board of Directors at the WECF and an Inspiration 100 member
Andrew Tepperman, President of the Inspiration 100 Executive Committee stated “I have been a member of Inspiration 100 since 2015, and what drew me into this initiative was the long term vision both in terms of investor engagement as well as the ongoing impact the investment will have on our local community. Having reached $1 million dollars in a span of five years is a very important milestone which allows us to further invest in our community”. –Andrew Tepperman, President of the Inspiration 100 Executive Committee
