Labour Day 2018 – City of Windsor Holiday Hours

City of Windsor offices will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018 in observance of Labour Day 2018 holiday. The next City Council meeting will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

311 Call Centre
The 311 Call Centre will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

211 Windsor-Essex
The 211 Call Centre will be open 24 hours on Monday to serve residents throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Garbage and Recycling Collections
There will be no residential collection services on Monday, September 3, 2018. Residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection services will be delayed by one (1) day. Please refer to your 2018-2019 Waste Collection Calendar. Night commercial, front end loader and weekly recycling collections are not delayed. Public Drop-off & Household Chemical Waste Depots
The depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and E.C. Row will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018. Regular summer hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., during which the depot is available (holidays excepted) for the self-disposal of garbage, renovation material, furniture, recyclables, appliances, tires, shingles and yard waste. Some disposal fees may apply.

Parks and Recreation
All community centres and all customer care centres will be closed with the exception of scheduled rentals on Monday, September 3, 2018.

Outdoor pools will be open from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sandpoint Beach will be open 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. weather and water quality permitting. The Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre (WIATC) Presented by WFCU Credit Union’s natatorium is currently closed for scheduled maintenance and will reopen Tuesday, September 4, 2018, while its Fitness Centre will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Labour Day.

All arenas will be closed.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park
Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union and Cannon Cove are both open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Labour Day, followed by the park’s annual scheduled maintenance closure from September 4-12, 2018. Fall hours will begin at the water park on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

Parking Enforcement
There will be no parking enforcement on Monday, September 3, 2018, and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed. Ticket payments may still be made online via the E-Services tab.

Windsor Public Library
All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2018. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

Museum Windsor
Both the Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House locations are normally closed on Mondays and will remain closed on Monday, September 3, 2018.

Transit Windsor
City buses will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, September 3, 2018. The Tunnel Bus will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule as well. Schedules and route maps are available online. The Customer Service Office at 300 Chatham Street West is open regular hours on Monday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. The sales office at 3700 North Service Road East will be closed.
