City of Windsor w.a.v.e.s Festival 2016 – Artists Info Session
In conjunction with Culture Days 2016, The City of Windsor’s Recreation and Culture Department welcomes the second edition of a brand new festival for the Windsor Sculpture Park.
On the evening of Wednesday January 13th, The City of Windsor, in partnership with the Arts Council of Windsor & Region will host an info session for the next annual w.a.v.e.s community arts Festival. This session will cover tips for applying artists, and will be an open forum for discussion about public art and the animation of our local landscape.
Do you have the drive and energy to create for the community? Learn how can you display or present new or existing work in the Sculpture Park. Individuals and organizations – use this space to interact with the public, play a large game of duck, duck goose, showcase a snap-shot of an on-going performance or tribute to your favourite Sculpture. Share your creative ideas for the park or brainstorm new ideas.

W.A.V.E.S (Windsor’s Artists, Visions, Energies & Sculptures)
In conjunction with Culture Days 2016, The City of Windsor’s Recreation and Culture Department welcomes the second edition of a brand new festival for the Windsor’s Sculpture Park. w.a.v.e.s. (Windsor’s Artists, Visions, Energies & Sculptures) is a two-day festival connecting communities through waves of art, culture and technology. w.a.v.e.s Festival will take place on Friday September 30 & Saturday October 1, 2016 4 PM – 11PM
Arts Council of Windsor & Region is a non-profit organization that serves all disciplines of individual artists, arts organizations and non-arts partners in promoting, developing and realizing creative activity. Our energies are focused on providing our community with valuable services like Artspeak Gallery, Art.Work workshops, Individual grant consultation, an in-office resource library, and their website which hosts resources, a community arts calendar, and profiles of our members and their work.
